Arlington Cemetery

On Sunday we went to the Arlington Cemetary. It was very sobering to see all of the graves of the brave men and women who have died for our freedom. We also watched the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown soldier. Very moving.

I'm a little tired tonight and nothing funny or poignant is coming to mind, so enjoy the pictures.

Arlington is one of my favorite places, it's very sobering and humbling to stand and look out on the sea of white headstones.
Glad you got to experience it! Perfect for a Sunday.
Did you call last night? We were out...sorry!!

I am sure it was the same sort of feeling as Pearl Harbor but as you said...very sobering to see all of those white markers. We are very fortunate that there are so many people who think so highly of our freedom they are willing to give up their lives to fight for it. I am glad that you got to see it. Once in a lifetime opportunity.

I found Arlington was a nice place to reflect on all the men and women who have given there life that we may continue to enjoy our freedom. Makes me proud to work side by side the men and women who are willing to continue to protect that freedom even if it costs the hightest price.
