Week 31

Alright, so this picture is right at the end of week 31 and ... well ... here you go. It was a super low tide and some of the B* kids and I were seeing what we could see. More pictures to come on that.

Sigh... But he's kicking a lot and moving and squirming so that's good. And I am short, so there's really not a whole lot of places for him to go.

Playing with the Camera

As I said before, we got a new toy this weekend. It's a Nikon Digital SLR. I am in love. Here are a bunch of pictures from the weekend.
Brent was playing with the different effects on the camera. Thought this one turned out cool.

 Can you see Mt Rainier?

 Another fun effect one.

And we had to make sure that we could still do a scrunch picture with it. It's a little heavy but totally works!

What else can I take pictures of?

Week 30

Being that it's getting late. Well, late for me. And the computer is being SUPER slow, I'm going to make this short and sweet.

We got a new camera. My dream camera. Bet you can guess what it is. We went over to Manchester State Park to play with said new camera and also took my week 30 picture.

So there you go. I'll try to put some of the other great shots we've gotten with our new toy, I mean, camera on the blog tomorrow-ish.

It MUST Be the Hormones

When I was growing up, we had this old mare named Buttercup. She was a great old mare who let you do just about anything to her. And believe me, I tried everything.

I know I have a picture of her somewhere, but since it's an actual picture and I'd have to find it, then scan it - what DID we do before digital cameras - I found some pictures online that look similar to what she looked like.
Similar coloring, not the right pattern but you get the idea.

And while I was looking for those pictures, I found this one...
I always wanted a black and white paint and I would name him Newspapers, and...
He would have a blue eye. I've always been a sucker for blue eyes!

Anyway, I digress.

Buttercup was a wonderful, sweet, affectionate mare for about 28 days a month, but those two days...horses have "cycles" too...were awful! She would walk around with her nostrils flared and her ears back. She would nip at anyone who came too close. She was just a pain! (Made you really appreciate the geldings who could care less.)

That's how I feel today. If I had ears that would move, they would be back. If I could flare my nostrils like horses do, they would be flared. And I may not nip at everyone in my path, but I'll definitely grump at them.

But, it's just the hormones, right? I don't have some heretofore undiagnosed personality problem, right?

Maybe it's a good thing that Brent's out of town this week. But poor Daisy.

Oh, and it is YW's tonight. Ummm...maybe I need to rearrange my attitude by then. Perhaps a nap is in my future!

Week 28

For some reason, the picture this week is being a real pain. First off, I sort of packed up the good camera - since we're trying to get a place for this little bundle of joy to live and/or keep his stuff so Brent took it with my cell phone camera, which sucks. And second, I'm just not a fan. But, I said I was going to, so here goes...
Yuck! But, it is mostly baby, right?

Hopefully I'll be able to find my nice camera by next week and the picture will be better. Hopefully!
