Stupid TV

Here I am...sitting...waiting for the tv repair guy...AGAIN! We've been having some problems with our tv. First, it stopped working...completely...wouldn't turn on. Luckily - and yes, this is a plug for Costco - we bought it at Costco so instead of the normal 1 year warranty, it was a 2 year warranty. We found out that we have about a month and a half left on the warranty, so all this is FREE. Woho!

Anyway, didn't work completely, they came to see what was wrong - had to call in another company - they said it was the panel (which is basically the whole tv minus the stand) and another card. So they replaced that, but the card was defective so they had to come back another time and replace that. Woho! The tv is fixed - or is it?

Then I notice a line down the right hand side of the tv. Awesome. Call up the place..."Hmm...they're going to have to come see what's wrong with it." So he does...spends about 2 minutes looking at it...then says that the panel is defective so they have to order another one. Awesome.

So, they call and say that they got the new panel, tested it, and it too is defective. Huh?

Must order in a new panel...again.

And now I wait for the repair guy to get here between 1 and 3 pm. It's now 3:10. I don't think he's going to be here between 1 and 3.

To sum it up:
Number of new panels: 3 so far...don't want to jinx us
Number of visits from tv repair men: this will be the 5th one

Patience for more tv problems:

Nearing empty, but not quite there.

Any guess as to whether we'll end up getting a new tv out of this?

My patience gauge is now PAST ELEVEN!! They called and said that this panel is defective....WHAT?

So I call Costco and they say they can't do anything about it. They transfer me to Panasonic and they say that there is no way that they've gone through 3 panels and not "escalated" the claim. She says that they wouldn't have gone through more than one panel before "escalating" the claim. So, basically, someone is lying to me and it's not the panel. I am so frustrated with this whole thing! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

I must have jinxed myself with this post. Bah!

I would certainly hope you would. I am sure they have paid for the tv twice over at least by now!! What a pain for you! At least Daisy is doing good right now and so you don't have to worry about her too!!
