What I Learned Yesterday

As I went through my day yesterday, I realized I was learning a lot of stuff, so I thought I'd share with you what I learned.
  • Whenever you want to work outside, it rains. Whenever you don't really feel like it, it's sunny. (At least in my neck of the woods.)
  • Cats will eat all kind of bugs, but not spiders. Oh no. She just chases spiders and makes it hard to kill them. Then sulks because I took away her play thing.
  • Weeding is way more fun with people to talk to.
  • Some people really understand what it is to be a visiting teacher. I haven't quite figured that out yet, but I'm working on it.
  • Japan is 18 hours ahead of my time. Which means right now, as I write this, it is 2:30 am there. Brent's about to get off work. Which is really nice for me, but not so super great for him.
  • When you're five, you can be braver, but not until that point.
  • The greatest cure for a somewhat blah-I-don't-want-to-do-anything day is good friends, good food and getting my hands dirty.

Hope you learn something today!

And, a big old happy birthday to Brent's mom today!

It sounds like a very great friend brought you food and helped you weed :)

I was going to ask you how you are holding up with Brent gone. What is the countdown now? I agree with the not wanting to do anything days and then they are sunny and when you have the energy it is rainy (or snowy in our neck of the woods :)

Love ya!

I love VTing... it is fabulous, but probably only because I always get super awesome people to visit.

Love your list... especially the braver at 5. You make me laugh!
