We got a little stir crazy and went out to see what it was like. (But not stir crazy enough to go to Costco like one of our friends. He's crazy.) Anyway, here are some pictures of the ice we've gotten. Brent says it's 1/8 inch thick and I say at least 1/4 inch so I'm going to say we have a TON of ice out there.
This is our attempt to show how thick the ice is, but it just wouldn't take a good picture. I'm continuing to take donations towards Ashley-needs-a-digital-single-reflex-camera fund.
This is the road outside our house looking down the hill...
And up the hill...
We could get out but have decided not to chance it. Like I said, we have plenty of food and frozen pizzas. (Hee hee) So we're staying put for now.
And, sadly, Brent and Ryan are going to have to watch the USU game on tv. The monorail is not running today and most of Seattle is closed so no basketball for them. Sad days guys!
Now on to organizing and packing up the craft room. Why you ask? Well, we're going to be doing some home remodeling and getting ready to move our bedroom downstairs. Lots of work ahead but I'm excited.
:)

Bummer about the basketball game. I am supposed to go to Silverdale tomorrow for Emma's dr appt, but luckily they are posting closure updates on their website. I'm pretty sure they'll be understanding if I reschedule too. However, I am so ready for some normalcy around here!!!!!
Wow! Very icy. Glad you are safe and sound and warm!!!
Sad for the boys to not get to go to the basketball game. Who is in possession of the band hat? Has it been retired?!

Boy oh boy...you guys have been having a lot of fun!!! It doesn't look like many people have made it UP your hill (go figure!) I think you are smart staying put and sorry that Brent and Ryan didn't get to go to the game (which I think we lost....) but better safe that not!!! I know there was a lot of flooding around Logan and on the TV they were putting the caption - "if in doubt, turn around, DON'T DROWN!" I thought it was kind of funny!
Weather is being weird again this year. We are in the 40's and getting rain. They say snow this weekend, but I guess we will see what happens!!
Hope it warms up and starts melting for you really soon!
Love ya
That is a bummer, but it is probably better to keep them safe. We have seriously had rain for 3 days straight now. I think it must be march ( I wish). I am excited for your remodel. That will be fun.
