I interrupt this regularly scheduled "Mt Rainier in Review" for a funny story. Yesterday Brent and I were at Kohl's looking at shoes. He needs new black shoes for church so we've been looking for awhile. He's pretty picky when it comes to shoes. Anyway, there was this older couple also looking for dress shoes. This was the conversation they had...
Wife: After 45 years, you need a new pair of dress shoes.
Husband: I don't know why, I hardly ever wear them, they're fine.
Wife: They are the ones you wore when we got married....45 years ago. You need a new pair.
Husband: I think I've had them longer than that. And I don't need a new pair.
Wife: Yes, you do.
Husband: No, I don't.
(All the while, they're looking at new shoes...just had to add that part.)
Then the wife looks at us and says...
Wife: These people agree with me.
Me: Yep, I do.
Brent: I think, if they're still good why do you need another pair.
To which, the wife pretended to hit him over the head.
I had to chuckle. I could totally see us doing that in 30 years. I mean, we do it now. :)
Don't miss the Sluiskin Falls pictures ... just keep going down.
